There are a number of mechanics that are helpful to understand when progressing through the game in terms of the world itself, the player's interactions with it, and even chosen settings. This article attempts to cover any information regarding these mechanics.

Game[edit | edit source]

Before any influences from a character's build, there are a number of settings that can greatly alter the nature of the challenges presented.

Character[edit | edit source]

These mechanics cover specific keywords and interactions between the player and other entities. These mechanics may come as a result of a specific archetype, piece of equipment, or elsewhere. Understanding them is key to taking advantage of their capabilities.

Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]

Loadouts[edit | edit source]

Loadouts are a specific set of equipment and archetypes worn together. There are multiple loadout slots that may be used to store and load specific setups. These may be accessed using the button found in the lower left corner of the Equipment tab in the character menu. This section covers each slot found in that tab.

World[edit | edit source]

Throughout a player's progression, there are several deterministic and non-deterministic features that may create an overall unique experience from another, even down to the worlds and storylines encountered. This section aims to explain what mechanics come into play in these worlds themselves.
