Equipment

Equipment refers to all items in the game, whether they are able to be worn, thrown, consumed, used in quests, or attached to other items. Equipment may be viewed in the Inventory or Character panel. Each item is labeled with a category directly under the name referring to its overall use.

Weapons[edit | edit source]

There are three weapon slots which may each be used individually. Long guns are typically the "primary" ranged weapon while handguns will usually be a secondary to swap to as needed. Melee weapons may be used at any time if attacking without aiming down sights. Each of these may be upgraded, contributing to the wearer's overall Power Level.

Attachments[edit | edit source]

Along with that, each weapon is categorized as either standard or special. A standard weapon has an empty weapon mod slot and can be upgraded to +20 while special weapons come with their own built-in weapon mod and upgrade to +10. While the upgrade limits differ, a fully upgraded weapon is expected to deal triple the damage of its base regardless. Along with the weapon mod slot, each weapon also has a mutator slot, of which there are separate mutators for ranged and melee weapons.

Armor[edit | edit source]

These pieces offer increases to armor and resistances at the cost of weight, sometimes referred to as encumbrance. Each armor set covers a broad category of weight classes: LIGHT, MEDIUM, HEAVY, and ULTRA. Higher weight classes offer higher values at the cost of stamina and dodge roll type. Sets may be mixed and matched freely aside from very specific interactions, and it is often necessary to do so to optimize stats for a given weight class.

Accessories[edit | edit source]

Accessories offer unique utilities and raw stats to the wearer. Of these accessories, amulets and prisms are generally the biggest sources of power for a character followed by rings.

Other[edit | edit source]

Items may be found throughout each world with a utility use, or are a key component to a quest.
